Why the Society Exists

Live fire cooking across the region has grown rapidly, driven by festivals, social media, and increased interest in outdoor cooking. Yet much of this growth has occurred without shared standards, structured knowledge exchange, or a common framework for safety, technique, and progression. The Middle East Live Fire Cooking Society was founded to address that gap.

Our purpose is to bring together backyard cooks, chefs, and pitmasters, and all those who see fire as more than heat, giving them an environment where they can refine their skills, engage with fire responsibly, and contribute to a serious and sustainable live fire culture.

Our Pillars

CRAFT OVER CONTENT

We prioritize hands-on practice over performance. Our learning experiences are built around real fire management, technique, and repetition, developing true mastery through doing, not posting. Skill is earned at the pit, not on a screen.

DISCIPLINE OVER SPECTACLE

We treat fire with intent, preparation, and respect. Whether in education, events, or competition, safety, control, and process come before theatrics. Fire is not a prop: it is a responsibility.

STANDARDS OVER TRENDS

We establish and uphold clear benchmarks for technique, execution, and conduct. Our competitions and programs reward consistency, precision, and professionalism, raising the bar for live fire cooking across the region, regardless of what’s fashionable.
